Goals:
  • Lower CPU usage compared to other HLDM bots
  • Be a more interesting opponent than other bots:
  • More human-like aiming: loses its aim if
  • the bot is moving
  • More random movement, jumping and improved strafing
  • Hears players' footsteps and weapon fire
  • Be bots for dedicated servers only:
  • Interfaces for client-side listen servers have been removed
  • Automatic waypoint (navigation point) generation

Confirmed supported mods:
  • HLDM
  • Adernaline Gamer
  • Severian's
  • Bubblemod
  • Opposing Force

Credits:
  • Based on HPB bot 4.0 by botman.
  • Uses the BotAim aiming code by Pierre-Marie Baty.
  • Uses code from GraveBot by Caleb 'Ghoul' Delnay (target selection, LJ jumps).

Installation:
  1. Extract the archive into the /addons/ folder (you should end up with, for example, valve/addons/jk_botti). In the addons/metamod/plugins.ini file
  2. add the line: For Windows:
    win32 addons/jk_botti/dlls/jk_botti_mm.dll
    For Linux:
    linux addons/jk_botti/dlls/jk_botti_mm_i386.so

  3. Edit the addons/jk_botti/jk_botti.cfg file:
  4. Delete the lines
    addbot "" "" 1
    addbot "" "" 2
    addbot "" "" 3
    addbot "" "" 4
    addbot "" "" 5

  5. Replace
    #min_bots 2
    #max_bots 6
    with
    min_bots 2
    max_bots 6
2 is the minimum number of bots, 6 is the maximum
  6. Set the bot skill (1 is the highest, 5 the lowest) in the line:
    botskill 3

Note:
These bots don't work with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) turned on. So you need to either add the server to the DEP exceptions or turn DEP off.
