Half-Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3, Source 2 and much more found in the Valve Project Tracker

A new archive has appeared on ValveTime containing information from a Valve leak, which includes Half-Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3, Source 2, as well as mentions of new projects Valve is currently working on. In this database ValveTime found the full list of projects, and there are 791 of them.

The screenshot shows Jira, the software Valve uses to organize its work. Each project was probably worked on by a specific group of people. The e-mail addresses of the employees working on the project are blacked out. According to this database, 42 people are working on Half-Life 3.

The third game in the Left 4 Dead series was found as well. According to ValveTime, which has access to all the information, about 68 people are working on Left 4 Dead 3.

The list also includes long-cancelled projects, such as Half-Life 2 Episode Four: Return To Ravenholm. On top of that, it includes employees who have already left the company, so the information may not reflect the actual state of affairs at Valve.

Judging by all this, development of Half-Life 3 has only just started, or is still only planned. Every part of a game (audio, special effects, level design, etc.) is handled by a separate team, yet only one team is working on Half-Life 3.

There's hardly anything new in this news. It's just one more confirmation that Half-Life 3 and other games are in development. But the myth that Gabe and Valve can't count to 3 has finally been busted.

Valve has already shut off access to all the information that ValveTime got its hands on.
