We keep growing: suggestions for improving the site

Our portal's traffic grows every day. We've done a lot of work, but there's still plenty more ahead that needs to be done. We've left quite a few competitors behind and overtaken many Half-Life sites in traffic, but there are still Half-Life portals we lag behind.

If you don't mind sharing your opinion about our site, or if you have any suggestions, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments or on the forum. If the site matters to you and you're ready to take part in its development - everyone's opinion is very important to us. You can discuss all of our proposals regarding the further development of our portal.

Our site's traffic grows every day: just a month ago the site had 1.5-2 times fewer visitors than it does now. We're not resting on our laurels.

The main topic of the site that we stick to is the game Half-Life. We try to post everything that might be useful to players and fans of this game - models, maps and so on, and to write news about Half-Life and the yet-to-be-released Black Mesa project. Our plans may include broadening the topic and adding servers for other games.

If the project keeps developing the way it is now, Counter-Strike servers will be added first, the topic will broaden, and the site will also contain information about Counter-Strike.

Besides Counter-Strike, we may also add information about Half-Life 2 and its follow-ups (Half-Life 2 Episode One, Half-Life 2 Episode Two, Half-Life Episode Three or Half-Life 3).

Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike aren't the only games we're paying attention to. There are other Valve games as old as Half-Life 1 - Team Fortress Classic and Half-Life: Opposing Force. And also large-scale Half-Life mods from other developers, for example Black Mesa.

As for the gaming side, I think I've written about everything I could. I'm also thinking about changing the site's design to a different one; if anyone has suggestions or work in progress, feel free to post here or on the forum.

This is what the site's design looks like at the moment. The day before yesterday ads appeared on the site; it may have gotten a little worse, but I tried to integrate the ads so that the harm from them is minimal and visitors still enjoy browsing the site. Removing the ads is basically not an option - they're the site's main income, and the money from ad placement goes toward further development of the project.
