Secrets of the crossfire_jump map

Look at the screenshot. What's that up there in the air? Something's not right, we need to figure it out.



We fly up with a gauss jump. Hmm, nothing happened. But if you turn the camera around at the moment you start losing momentum and drop like a stone, you'll see something interesting: a small stash of supplies, medkits and batteries sitting on a crossbeam that hangs calmly in mid-air.



You can't reach them from the side - a clip brush protects them. But you can from below. I've marked the spot you need to launch from with gauss shots. Our crossbeam hangs right above this spot.



Now fly up and hold the "Forward" key, i.e. W. This is important, because during the flight we drift off to the side. Be sure to hold the forward key before you take off. So: gauss jump up, hold W. Flying, flying... If you've done everything right, you'll bump your head into the crossbeam and grab the items on it.
