Duels: a site update
After a software update, all visitors to our site have a new feature: creating duels.
The idea of duels is quite simple: the players have to fight a match at the scheduled time. At the end of the round, when the map changes, the players' scores are recorded and the winner is determined. If one of the players doesn't show up at the scheduled time, they are given a loss. If neither player shows up, the duel is declared a draw.
Once a duel is created, the opponent gets a notification in their private messages. The challenged player can either accept or decline the challenge. Only visitors who have a game nickname set in their profile can take part in duels.
During a duel, players must play under the nicknames set in their profiles; if someone's nickname doesn't match, the system may count it as a no-show.
A duel can be played on any of our Half-Life servers. Other players are not moved to spectators during a duel, so they can play alongside you.
Post all your wishes and suggestions in the comments.
